The inside verse reads:
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy -
they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.
- Marcel Proust
This was "Version One"
I'm sure most of you know the amazingly talented Amber Kemp-Gerstel (Damask Love). Amber had started a Spread the Love campaign where she encouraged us to create something, divulge a blog crush, and play along with some really awesome color schemes! (Yes, I know that I missed the deadline...but hey, better late than never!)
The talented, fun, newly retired and oh-so-sweet Bev from Happy Dance , who has become a good friend and trusted pen pal, chose me as her blog crush. Bev exudes kindness, sincerity, compassion, love and loyalty to her faith, family and friends. I am thrilled to be Spreading the Love back to her! This is the beautiful card that Bev made for me:
Don't you just love these colors and the flawless execution of this design? Wowzers!
Card details:
Sizzix Flowers & Vase die/stamp set
SU paper, rub-on
Geri, your card is simply amazing! Although I like both versions I agree with you, something about the white background makes the vase of flowers really stand out.
ReplyDeleteI love both of your cards, but the white one is so crisp and clean...love it! Your friend's card is perfectly executed, what a gift!
ReplyDeleteNow I feel even better! How sweet of you dear friend. Your card is beautiful--see, everyone--Geri's work is exactly why I have a blog crush on her!!! Thanks bud. Bev
ReplyDeleteThe first card just grabbed me from the first moment I saw it!
ReplyDeleteIn awe!!
Beyond beautiful!

Me too, the first card wrapped me in warmth and deliciousness with it's simplicity and stunning colours ... LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! Bev is, of course, so completely right ... blog crushingly beautiful! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteGeri, this is gorgeous! The red one is also pretty, but the white one definitely has "it"!
ReplyDeleteDauphin, I love it clean and simple and just lovely, I agree white did the trick, hope your having a great weekend..
ReplyDeleteFirst - love your card - that simple font is my favourite and it goes perfectly with your image. I agree with your choice to leave it on white (White is almost never wrong, I find! lol!) Second, I also love that card of Bev's - the colours and the cool shapes are fantastic - I pinned it the moment I saw it!
ReplyDeletethis is so lovely and the colors so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Geri, I like it better with all that white space, which is your special gift! It is brilliant! I also agree with everything you said about beautiful Bevie!!
