It isn't wise to post a card at 2:15am! The late night seriously cripples the principles of good design!
When I checked out my blog this morning, I experienced one of those "What was I thinking?" moments!!!
Back to the craft desk for a bit of a re-make. Thankfully I didn't damage the embossed green panel when I was removing said elements! I will also be adding an exclamation mark after the Boooo!
And dang it all, those fluorescent colors refuse to play nicely with the lighting in the light box. Sheesh - the pink looks like it went through a wash cycle with a jug full of bleach!
This sweet card is for my DH's niece who will be celebrating her first Halloween! Not your typical H'ween color combo, but the pink just looked too darn cute with the green, so I ran with it! The original letters from the front of the card (Too Cute To Spook) will be re-purposed for the inside verse.
Now off you to go hopping! I've checked out the blogs of the other ladies (listed below) and my-oh-my, the talent and creativity that these women have is endless!
The best part of it all...is that they are sharing it with you for one reason only - to inspire and kick start your Halloween projects! By the way...keep your eyes open for some blog candy along the way too :)

Oh this is such a cutie, Geri ... thought the original was too, but with this one you've gone beyond sweet! An adorable little spectre, complete with perfect little floral barette ... love how the booooo retreats gradually into the wood embossed background! Anita :)

ReplyDeleteHey Geri!!! I'm back and finally getting caught up on my blogs - well, sort of! I've wittled my blog lovin feed from over 600 to just over 60 and feel that is quite an accomplishment!!! I was so excited to see that you were part of this Halloween hop!!! What a treat to see your work again, and OH MY is this one ever adorable!!! Like, times a million!!! Sweetest ghost I ever did see!!! I absolutely love that you went with non-traditional colours for your DH's little niece - I think it's perfect! You are such an inspiration!!! I didn't catch a glimpse of the 2AM post, but I bet it was just as adorable! Glad to see I'm not the only one who has "second thoughts" about a card...sometimes I even lose sleep thinking about it!!! Neurotic?? Yup...but shhhhh don't tell anyone!!
