Have you checked out the amazing submissions for this week's challenge at CASology? Black redefined!
Kristie is the Guest Designer and has created an absolutely stunning Christmas card...yes, using black. You best scoot on over to the blog to have a look at her handiwork as well as the amazing projects that the DT has created for our viewing pleasure.
Silhouette Kitty was dazzled up with orange Martha Stewart glitter on her hat (yes, she's a girl because she has pink lipstick on her nose). The spider and hat band were dusted with black embossing powder and left unheated to create a stylin' faux suede look. I brushed on just a touch of Liquid Glass to brighten up her green eyes. I used the trace option to create the outline around the image. The sentiment is also a Silhouette cut file. A bit of bling and done!
It feels sooooooooo good to be back crafting! The yard has been readied for winter, the renovation work is complete and the cold weather is on its way. This all translates to tons of time to play - so play is what I plan to do!
Happy crafting!
Supplies: Cardstock: SU black, AC orange and CTMH white

Super cute kitten! Love the sparkly hat! So glad you joined in on the fun at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteYay for more time to play!! I like the sound of that!! I, too, need to find some time to get into my craft room - this sweet little black cat has inspired me to get up off my duff and get something done!! What a genius idea to leave the embossing powder unheated (is that a word?! LOL) - I can see this technique being used for other applications, too!! Great idea, missy!!
