Not sure which photo is better ???
Welcome! Hope your day is going well. The temperature has warmed up here a bit....however, not enough to melt the snow!
I am entering this card in the following two challenges:
and
The Dynamic Duos colors are Sahara Sand & Cherry Cobbler. I have used the actual SU colors although by looking at the photo you would probably think otherwise. I have come to the conclusion that Sahara Sands does not like to have its picture taken!!!
I repeatedly stamped the small bundle of posies from SU Sweet Summer in Cherry Cobbler, then die cut the flower from that paper to form the petals. I die cut the flower again (twice) on black paper, glued down the first black outline piece, inlaid the floral patterned petals inside and then added one more layer of the black outline. Added some Stickles and a sentiment and the card was complete.
I was on a bit of a roll with the Tilth Flower die so I may post another later today :)
Fabulous creation of your own patterned paper and I love the flowers within the flower! Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteGeri, this is a perfectly WOW card. It's so clever and I love the little red stickles. Sa-weet!!! Bev
ReplyDeleteI love this die and I love this card. (I'm assuming that the cardbase is Sahara? lol!) I love that you took a very 'sweet' SU stamp and made it into such a funky flower. I also love the font of the sentiment and THANKS so much for playing along with CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteI love this card. ;-) That flower is fantastic! I love the bunces of little blooms inside the larger one - very clever. It's perfect. Glad you could join Dynamic Duos this week. ;-)
ReplyDeleteCAS perfection! I love how you layered the flower. Thanks for joining us this week at Dynamic Duos.
ReplyDeleteBlack, white and red...a timeless combination with class and elegance! Love this clean design and the patterned flower is beautiful! The font of the sentiment is perfect with it too! Thanks so much for joining us at CASology! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the small flowers inside the larger one, and the sparkly red centre. And the black sentiment goes perfectly with the black outline of the flower.
ReplyDeleteGeri your flower is fun, love the flowers on the petals. Thank you so much for sharing with us this week at CASology!
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely, Geri ... the stickles and the black outline just draw you in ... gorgeous! Anita :)
