12 DAYS OF HOLIDAY PROJECTS - DAY ONE

Welcome to Day One of the 12 Days of Holiday Projects brought to you by the Inspiration Crew!

We're a group of online crafty friends who love being creative.  This time we're doing a 12 day event to provide you with tons of Holiday-themed inspiration.  We're making crafty projects using products we like! Some of us are even offering prizes (I AM)!  Check each blog for information about what prizes are being offered and when the winners will be announced on that blog.

My first project has been created with my Silhouette. This cute little Santa will be delivering some $$$ to the wee great nieces and nephews that will be visiting this Christmas.

And yes....there will be a present for one lucky visitor at the end of the 12 day event, so please leave a comment if you would like a chance to win!  Another 'mystery' prize is in store for the lucky winner!

Carol from "Just Me C" was my lucky winner from the last hop. She won a $25 gift certificate from Neat & Tangled Stamps.

So get your hopping shoes on and start hopping!

CAS(E) this Sketch #55

Well.....this could be a bit of a stretch with the sketch, but I figured I'd throw my card into the mix just for the fun of playing along with all the fabulously talented ladies at CAS(E) this Sketch !

Easy peasy, simple card...which will be perfect for my husband's nephew and his soon-to-be bride. They are the sweetest young couple ever, who love the simple things in life like camping, hiking, reading, relaxing . I'm quite sure they will love the simplicity of my design (and the wee $$$ that they will find inside!).

The inlaid sentiment is a Silhouette file cut from textured American Crafts card stock! A wee punched heart and done!

Had  I been on top of my crafting game this morning, I'm quite sure I would have reached for my White Linen paper (Ellen Hutson) for the card base which would have added even more yummy texture.  But I wasn't, so I didn't - dang it all anyway!

Happy crafting!

CASology WEEK 70: TRIANGLE

I'm beyond thrilled to be this week's GD at CASology!. Thank you to Melissa, Judy and the rest of the DT for this honor :)

This week's cue word is "TRIANGLE"....yes...endless possibilities! The first thing that popped into my head was a tent. DH and I tented quite often when we were younger. Once the kids arrived though we did upgrade to a camper trailer, but the good old tenting days left us with many fond & fun memories.

I happened to notice this slogan on some merchandise in a sporting goods store last week. Isn't it absolutely perfect for this image...go, see the world...

I hope that my card has inspired you and that you will join us for this week's challenge! Scoot on over to CASology, check out the DT creations and get your crafty on!

Card details:  CTMH White CS, SU Blue CS, Silhouette files

Happy crafting!

THANKSGIVING INSPIRATION BLOG HOP

This is my second post. Please scroll down for the Moxie Fab Thanks Blog Hop

Welcome to the Thanksgiving Inspiration blog event, brought to you by "The Inspiration Crew".  We're just a group of online crafty friends who love being creative. This time we are doing a one day event to provide you with tons of autumn and Thanksgiving themed inspiration.

We're making crafty projects using products we like and some of us are even offering prizes! Check each blog for information about what prizes are offered and when the winners will be announced on that blog.

Below is a list of all the crafty ladies participating in this event.  Be sure to visit all the blogs for loads of great Thanksgiving craft ideas!

Rachel Kleinman = http://www.rwkrafts.com/
Darnell Knauss =  http://www.djkardkreations.com/
Ardyth Percy-Robb = http://ardythpr.blogspot.ca/
Susie Craft Happy = http://www.susiecrafthappy.com/
Laurel Beard = http://laurelbeard.wordpress.com/
My project info:
A quick little set of thank you notes, perfect for the host and hostess of your next yummy Thanksgiving dinner!  Bundle up the notes & envelopes, tie them together with pretty plaid ribbon, and add a bottle of nice red wine - the perfect gift!

The thank-you sentiment can easily be swapped for a name, turning these little cuties into place setting cards for your next turkey dinner.

Card details:
- Pumpkins and border - Silhouette.
- Give Thanks sentiment - T.A.W.S. Give Thanks
- Custom size envelopes - Envelope Punch Board (We R Memory Keepers)
- Envelope inside flap - Reflections (Paper Smooches).
- Envelope seal - Acorn -  Silhouette (I love adding seals to the envelope closures...it adds a nice little bit of something to an otherwise boring backside)

Best of Luck Cath!

  Hosted by

By now we have all heard the news that our dear, sweet, amazing Cath will no longer be smiling back at us when we visit the Moxie Fab World!  To me, Cath was the Moxie Fab World!  I am still having difficulty accepting this huge change that has no doubt rocked our tight knit crafting world.

So if you are hopping along one the world's biggest blog hops ever,  you should have arrived here from  Hollie's blog.

My most memorable 'Cath moment' was receiving an e-mail from her one morning asking me if I would like to be featured as Moxie Fabber of the Week.  I replied by asking her if she was sure she had the correct e-mail address!  She was so kind, caring, patient, encouraging, supportive and sincerely sweet as pie!

Cath is one incredible 'glass half full' kind of woman and will no doubt focus on the positive aspect of this change! Her beautiful soul and sincere caring personality has touched all of us at some point in our crafty travels.

I came upon this quote by Enya that I thought was quite appropriate for this post:

"As with anything creative, change is inevitable"

I wish you the best of luck in your new adventures - embrace the concept that change brings new opportunities...and enjoy the ride!

I truly am so glad that you came my way!

Okay people...put on your hopping boots and get hopping! If you are doing the blog in numerical order, your next visit will be to Shirley's blog.

MUSE CHALLENGE #41

I'm honored and thrilled to have received an Honorable Mention for my card.
Thank you so much for your votes :)

This week's MUSE
is Janet, a.k.a. Swanlady 21

Is Janet's card not the most amazing card ever? The shaded and highlighted baubles are gorgeous, especially offset with the black outline!

I tried to imitate the black border by adding one layer to the bottom of each tree branch (3 layers thick), allowing just a peek of black at the bottom of each branch. I dotted the baubles with a black felt pen, added a SU sentiment and popped up the panel with some foam dimensionals on AC textured card stock.

Take a minute or ten and pop on over to Muse Challenge #41 and prepare to be inspired! No excuse now not to get cracking on this year's holiday cards!

Happy crafting!

BTW, I have turned on Comment Moderation as I have been having repeat visits from an unwelcome guest (grrrr!).  Hopefully, this will discourage the "guest" from visiting!!!

Hope you will join us for the hop :)

CASology WEEK 68: BLACK

I'm thrilled that my card selected as the winner for Week #68!  Thank you to the DT for your inspiration and continuing dedication to this fun craft!

A side view to show the popped up vase.

I decided it was time to get inky (as opposed to using my Silhouette).  It does feel great creating a card 'from scratch'.  This is my second entry for the current CAS-ology challenge.

I used a Sizzix stamp set that I masked, stamped and fussy cut. The vase is popped up with micro pop dots. The flowers (which remind me of dill) were spiffed up with red Stickles.  I added a bit of shading at the base of the vase with a Copic marker (C1 Cool Grey).

I used  the new Memento Luxe ink (Tuxedo Black).  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the coverage! It stamps just as good (if not better) that Stazon with no messy clean up.

DH is off to the cabin with our son this weekend, so it is just me, the kitties and tons of craft time!  If all goes well, I just might have another card (or two) posted by Sunday night.

Happy crafting!
