Just a Post...

No card today.....

I just finished reading another enjoyable post by the talented, entertaining, and witty Darnell (djkardkreations).  She never fails to make me smile, giggle or laugh out loud.  I have learned not to sip my coffee while reading her posts for fear of either choking on the steaming hot brew or literally blowing it out of my nose during a fit of hysterical laughter!  Hot coffee through the nose really stings!

Darnell shared a picture of the beautiful card she just made (check out the ribbon & paper!) and also a pic of   her blooming Camellia. Click on the link above to check out her pics and her blog. I can guarantee you will become a follower!

In stark contrast to the lovely blooming flowers in the south, is the rapidly plunging temps in the north.  I snapped this picture through our bedroom window at noon today.  The Grosbeaks have arrived and love to feast on the Mountain Ash berries as well as on the ornamental crab apples in our backyard.

All fluffed up & ready for the cold!

  1. Fabulous photo, Geri! It would look so good on a Christmas card....

  2. Wow Geri, what a fantastic photo ... and what a wonderful view to have from the bedroom window! Thanks so much for your lovely comment for Casology HM ... it was the first I knew of it ... occupied with shutter reconstruction ... need I say more?? Hope you're staying warm! Anita :)

  3. I agree with Anita, how blessed are you to be able to see such wonder out your bedroom window. I'm so green! You've taken a splendid photo-contest worthy picture that just cries out to be framed. After it's reprinted and made into lots of photo cards!

(I'll send your check in the post tomorrow. Your glowing tribute was even better than what we agreed on. Oops, were you drinking again? Sorry.)

    Mwah! Darnell

  4. so pretty... I miss the bird life of my home country... not much here!

  5. OMG - I would print that 100 times and use it for my Christmas cards - this is a beautiful scene and beautifully photographed! You and Darnell and your conversation here crack me up - I'm so grateful for both of you and amazed to think that less than a year ago, we had never 'met'!

  6. Amazing....This is so beautiful, should be on a card. I have to agree with you about reading Darnell's blog posts, never, ever sip coffee or any other type of beverage, she just cracks me up.

  7. Darnell sent me visiting...LOL Hello from Victoria! What a beautiful certainly would make a gorgeous card. Yes Darnell is an absolute riot, I too look forward to reading her. Hugs,

  8. Geri, what a wonderful photo and beautiful bird! Thanks for sharing your photo with us.
