SU Passion Pink is IMPOSSIBLE to photograph! The stamped SU sentiment looks like a rub on (I assure you it is not) and the pink looks like it was exposed to some radioactive gases!
I used washi tape for the candles (popped up with dimensionals), made the flames from 1/2 of a small heart, drew the border around the card and stamped the SU sentiment with Tuxedo Black (Momento) ink.
I may try taking a photo outside tomorrow to see if the color is more true. However, the reflection from the nine million feet of snow that we have might cause a glare as well.
The sky is the limit with this sketch so I am looking forward to some really creative approaches.
Happy crafting!
Radioactive or not, my friend, this pink is completely STUNNING ... sooo much impact! You've really got that washi tape off to a very perfect T ... I've still to try it (probably the only one in the universe). Inspired flaming heart! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteIt may be bright but it is truly festive! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYummy! I do like the pink one a tad bit better, but I do like the one posted at US. I have that sentiment stamp, and will have to pull it out now! Bold, bright, and really a happy card. Love it. Bev
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! Usually your cards are white with a pop of bold colour, this one is somewhat reversed - I can think of many girls (young and not-so-young) who would absolutely love this one! Radioactive or not. Heading over to see the green one, which I'm sure I'll love too! 9 million, eh? We're down to one, but there's more coming down as we speak. I so wish it was April....
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card! So vivid and bright. Fabulous birthday card.
ReplyDeleteI love this...and you're too hard on yourself and your fabulous cards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card brilliant idea using the tape for the candles, thanks so much for sharing...
ReplyDeleteLove your fun take on the sketch, Geri! The colors and the candles make such a cheery & fun birthday card. Great job again!
ReplyDeleteI love both these brightly colored cards, Geri! The "green" one at US looks like a beautiful aqua on my monitor. I do like these flames better for some reason. The whole idea of making your candles out of washi is inspired!! And you have the whole "balance" thing down to a "T!" Hey, can you take this over to CASology for "flame?" I think it just has to have been posted within a week of the challenge date ...? xxoo Darnell
ReplyDeleteI'm kind digging that radioactively gassed pink! And with the B/W. Uber cool.
