Wedding Wishes

Seems like just yesterday when I was busy making the wedding invitations for my nephew's wedding and swoooosh....here we are getting ready to head off to the celebration tomorrow.

This is the wedding card that I made for Graham & Pam.  I used the same colors as the invitations so once again experienced the ummmm....joy...of trying to photograph the pretty fuchsia pink without making it look like some ca-razy fluorescent color!  Honestly, it is really pretty IRL!  The layers are  popped up with dimensionals and give some nice depth to the card.

I'm armed with a large package of blister pads (ouch - darn new shoes with 47" heels) and I'm ready for a fun weekend!

Supplies:  SU layered heart dies, Studio G stamp, SU rhinestones (on the bird wings), Glossy Accents (small heart); SU sentiment & dimensionals

  3. This is so gorgeous Geri! There is ever lasting love written all over this card. Your nephew and his bride will be over the moon. So, so special that you made their invitations, and now have made a beautiful card for their wedding day that coordinates with the invitations. Hope their day is as lovely as the card!! Enjoy the celebrations!!!

  4. Such a sweet card, Geri! I love the layers of hearts and those two sweet birds. The fuchsia pink really pops against the black and white. I love the simple sentiment that means so much. We are going to a wedding this weekend too. It's been a long time since we've been to a wedding so looking forward to it. Enjoy the wedding!

  5. Oh, Geri, this is so stinkin' cute, and I love that pink!! Have a great time at your nephew's wedding. Hopefully your feet will hold out through the event. If not, kick off those damn heels and dance the night away!! I miss our chats - let's catch up when you get back . . . I'm still close to 4,000 feeds behind, but I wanted to drop by and let you know that I've been thinking about you. And wondering if your Cameo arrived yet!! Eeekkk - can't wait to hear what you think!! Wishing you safe travels and happy times!! XOXO

  6. GORGEOUS: a card made with love, and filled with love! How wonderful that you made the invitations: what a thoughtful generous Aunt you are! As for the 'repeat' of the colours: stunning, eye-catching and quite elegant! Your nephew and new niece will be thrilled! Shoes with 47" heels...a bit of a wince, indeed! I know you'll be absolutely lovely+++, and that you'll take Karolyn's advice if need be to kick up your heels in celebration! Enjoy the wedding immensely; it's always wonderful to be part of 'new beginnings.' Yes, I'm home - spent part of yesterday crafting, part with the kids in Banff. LOVE those wee ones!!! Thank you for your warm, wonderful comments on my site...note coming soon!

  10. What I'd like to see, Geri, is a picture of you rockin' those HIIIIIGH heels and shazambam dress! I see the heels my DIL puts on, or TV stars wear, and I stare in awe and wonder that they don't topple right over! I nearly toppled off my chair just now when I saw your stunning love bird card! How perfect for the wedding couple! They will treasure it more than any monetary gift!!

  11. Hey, Geri! Before I read this, I thought...she's doing it to herself again with that bright pink! (which I love, by the way) Then, of course, as I read, I saw WHY you were using it again;) I love the card! I'm needing a wedding card and thinking of using some little love birds, myself...hope it turns out this sweet!

  13. Simple yet meaningful. The single word "forever" just speaks a thousand meaning. And I agree, the pink in this wedding wishes simply made it extraordinary. Nice one!
