Welcome to Challenge #4 at the card Concept Challenge!
First and foremost, a HUGE THANK YOU for your support of this new challenge! We had 140 amazing entries for Challenge #3! Do you know how tough it was to select just one card? Let me tell you folks, it was really, REALLY hard!.
My card was relatively quick & simple to create (Silhouette cut file). The toughest part was finding a sentiment that worked well with the graphic design of the flower. I added three small seed pearls to the flower which I feel are subtle enough for a sympathy card and nice & tidy for a clean & graphic design.
I am so excited about the theme of this challenge! Seeing another 140+ entries with beautiful flowers gracing the card fronts will be a lovely distraction from the 4 - 5 foot snow banks currently in our back yard!
Happy crafting!
Beautiful, serene, perfect!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ardyth. This is a soft and lovely card, perfectly done for sending sympathies. The little pearls are just the right accent for this too. Wonderful! : ) Bev
ReplyDeleteSo striking, Geri. So to the point and perfect. It touches the heart. Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteGreat sympathy card, Geri - they're always the hardest to do. I like the added seed pearls - nice touch.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, Geri ... the clean black on white bloom is beautiful, perfectly complimented by the seed pearls and wonderfully balanced with the sentiment! Perfect all round! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWell, you know, with inspiration like this, it's no wonder there are so many people playing!! Another absolutely gorgeous creation, Geri! I love a card that evokes an emotion, and with this one, you can just feel the love and support that would go with it. Beautiful! The pearls finished it off perfectly!
ReplyDeleteOh my...sigh....the others have eloquently shared the powerful essence of your card, so I'll second, third and fourth their perspectives! Beautiful, evocative, simple, stunning: a perfect sympathy card. The pearls add such a special touch; another sign of your ability to know precisely what to add, when and where, to add impact. Fabulous! I am sooooo excited about your trip west and our visit! Only two more weeks...yayyyy!!!! Hugs~c
ReplyDeleteI too, love this card! Do you have a link to Silhouette cut file, or the name to search for in the Silhouette Online Store? I have done an extensive search and can't seem to locate this!
