... where your story begins.
Danny's niece/Godchild Samantha ("Sammy Jo Jean Jumping Bean" as she is affectionately called) is an amazing young woman. She is kind, caring, considerate, smart, pretty as ever and an absolute delight to be around. Sammy has had one incredible year....graduated with a teaching degree, got engaged to an amazing young man, had a wedding social and a shower, bought a house and have a December 27th wedding planned!
This card was another quick & easy project thanks to my Silhouette using....are you ready for this....patterned paper! For those that don't know me - I really struggle with patterned paper, so seldom use it! The letters are cut from side one, the heart from side two (3 layers popped up with dimensional tape).
I haven't played in a challenge for what seems like forever, so I did a quick tour of my favorite sights and found this awesome FUSION sketch.
I've chosen to use just the sketch, however, I suspect that my card might be one of those "almost/sort of fits card" so....Fusion ladies...If I have strayed too far from the sketch, please disregard my entry.
Thanks for stopping by.
Happy crafting!
Love the clean lines on this with the white and blue and great cut outs! Thanks for joining us in the Fusion Challenge Geri!
ReplyDeleteSoooo sorry I'm soooo far behind, Geri. Am only now getting to commenting...shame on me. Anyway, your card is a delight. Love this sentiment and I'm sure your niece will too. Beautifully CAS and a pure delight. Just the right amount of dp, if you ask me - you should use it more often! That stitched frame is perfect and brings the eye right where it ought to be. Great design, great card. WWCD! Bev
ReplyDeleteWhether it fits the challenge or not, it is a great card. Very CAS and a great design.
ReplyDeleteHow great to see you playing in a challenge again, Geri! You will start winning again, too, I'll bet!! This is fabulous and so perfect for your dazzling niece!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteA CAS masterpiece, Geri!!! Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteYay, you ... patterned paper (you and me both!). So deliciously CAS, Geri ... all crisp and clean and in such gorgeous colours! Love how you've framed the main panel with stitching ... so subtle! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, Geri, and I love the grungy pattern on that patterned paper heart. Glad I'm not the only one who plays stretch-a-sketch ;)

ReplyDeleteWell, the patterned paper is perfect on that little heart, Geri...great idea to use the solid and pattern that way. And I do love this home themed card for a new couple. So nice, Geri! And...it was a stencil (Simon Says) and paste I used on my snowy Christmas card...along with glitter. So glad you liked it!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card! Love the fun colours and the patterned heart!
ReplyDeleteNow how did I nearly miss this absolutely wonderful "new beginnings' card for your lovely Sammy Jo Jean Jumping Bean? In a word: amazing! In another word: heart-warming! Geri, a stunning card to celebrate the new steps Samantha is embarking on; what joy she must be experiencing! A Dec. 27th wedding: love it!! My parents were married Dec. 30 (56 years ago this December)! I imagine you'll be involved in some of the invitations, decorations, hmmmmm?? Hugs galore, my dear friend! Off to Edmonton this weekend. Yayyyy!
