Hello

A quick post to share a super CAS card. I had a couple of these curvy strips sitting on my desk and thought they would look good paired with this new SU stamp. A few MME enamel dots (love this color!) and done!

Well...that's a wee falsehood as it took 3 tries to get the sentiment in a place that looked balanced!

A favor if I may...

I am having issues with my 'white balance' in my photo editing program and would  love your feedback. On my home computer, the white is a nice clear white. However, on my work computer the white seems to have blotches of florescent purple/pink tints! I would love to know what you see.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy crafting!

  1. Ooh! You know I will LOVE this... B&W... plus green! Irresistible!
Your picture looks just fine to me! Well balanced, not too white, or bright, no blotches either!
Have a great day (night) Geri!

  2. Swooshingly stylish and chic, Geri ... actually it's so elegant it should have it's own spot on a cat walk (that's of the modelling variety, not the furry kind!!) . No issues with the white over here ... it's crisp and clear and and perfect! Bisous, Bisous, Anita :)

  3. Brilliant card, totally love it. Looked totally perfect till you pointed it out then I can see what you are saying over on the left hand side as you are looking at the image. I think it is a reflection thing, honestly nothing worth mentioning.

  4. LOVE this - the black is SO black and crisp! Love that the lines of the sentiment work so well with the curves. I am not seeing pure white, now that you mention it. It's impossible - every one's monitor is different, so who knows what people see?

  5. Love the lime pops with the black and white, Geri! I think it would have taken me a lot more than 3 tries to get such a precise outcome ;)
I do see the tints, but it is very difficult to make white cards look white - especially in winter!

  6. I love the black curvy strips with the green, Geri. So striking. I see yellowish blotches on the left side but like Ardyth said, you can't please every monitor.

  7. Love this card...so fun and so elegant too. I see beautiful pure crisp white and black, no blotches what so ever! I love the enamel dots too and the color is so sweet. And you had to stamp your sentiment 3 times, are you out of VersaFine ink in Black??? I love your card, it is just perfect! Miss you lots....

  8. Oh my Geri, this is a beautiful CAS card!! I love the design of it. No blotches here on my viewing end, just crisp white and black! The enamel dots give the perfect amount of color. Hugs, Brenda

  9. I love your swirly card here and in the previous post, Geri! As a curvy (cough) person, I love seeing curvaceous cards!! On my pc, I do see what you are seeing on your work computer. I find that it happens to me, too, when my card is mostly white and if I use any of the auto correct / auto color functions. To be honest, though, my eyes just took in the lovely design and I didn't even notice the whiteness of the white until I concentrated because you asked, so I wouldn't spend any time fretting about it. Sometimes you need to have that happen in order to get a better sharpness on the other elements. It's like life, huh? A balancing act! I hope you had a wonderful time in Calgary and that you got to see Carol!! Miss you! Hugs, Darnell

  11. Oh, what a CAS beauty, Geri!!! What would I give to be able to make such stunning CAS cards - my two front teeth!!!! LOL!!!! Those curvy strips are so beautiful and you have surely got the perfect spot for your sentiment!!! Love the beautiful colour of the strategically placed enamel dots!!!
Geri, I also see what you are talking about the pink tints on the white, but I have to say I only really saw it after you mentioned it!!!! It looks perfect and surely everybody knows it's a crisp white you used, so don't worry about pink/purple tints - your cards are stunning even with tints, too!!!
    Have a great day!!!

  12. Hello my friend! Catching up on your fabulous cards before re-packing in preparation for yet another trip. We were in Kelowna over the weekend; home yesterday, and now I'm off - via the bus - to Edmonton today, then back on Saturday (Andy's coming to get me). A bit tiring, but seeing family: must, must and must! You curvaceous card is pure delight; the black and white is especially striking, with the green dots that add such marvelous impact! CAS-ilicious! As for the white vs. tinge...I see only white and it's quite lovely indeed!
    Hugs~c
