CAS-ual Fridays - CFC 92 WALLPAPER

Creating your own background paper (aka wallpaper) can be a fast and economical way to breath new life into some of your stamps. I tried to stay away from a large background stamp (which are usually quite expensive) and instead focused on a repeated pattern with a small stamp.  I chose this $1.50 stamp from Michaels.

The flowers and polka dots were punched from scraps of SU paper. The stitched banner is Lil' Inkers die, SU sentiment stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black, SU buttons and baker's twine (?).

Tons of inspiration to be found over at the  CAS-ual Fridays blog so check it out.  There is still time to play along :)

Happy crafting!

  1. Super job, Geri! I love your wallpaper tile and the static interest you created between the adorable polkie-dot button flowers and the chevron lines of the stamp ~ AND your fish-tail sediment banner mimics the stamp lines! Dang. Takes a whole lotta design talent to do that!!

  5. Black and white is so chic--timeless, clean and simple too. Sweet flags holding a sentiment, then everything emphasized with fun colored flowers. Girl you rocked this. Ah-MAZE-ing! Ardyth is right, this is groovy. And I'll go so far as to say it's might even be far-out! Great (strongly underlined) card. Bev

  6. Geri, I love the black and white chevron pattern with the colored dots on the flowers. Changing the direction of each square was a great way to add movement and interest. Great job!

  7. Geri, my friend, I'm going to agree with Ardyth (groovy) and Bev (far out) and add cooool (very very). The way you've turned those tiles to create the pattern is totally inspired, as is the fish tail banner emphasising the chevrons. Now, those polka dot delights ... with their polished buttons and sweet touch of twine ... they're just luscious! Anita :)
