HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM

Our dear friend Kim has a birthday today
And we're getting together to party and play

She crafts, she sews, she bakes and she teaches
And lives really close to some beautiful beaches.

Over at Bev's house you'll find treats & great fun
With cake and yummy goodies, second to none!

Kim's creations feature colors so bright
And never fail to amaze and delight

Her talent in endless, she's sweet as can be
I've been lucky to meet her in real life, you see

A soul so kind, generous and sweet
I'm so very thankful we were able to meet

In real life, we crafted at a house on a lake
And nibbled on yummy, baked walnut cake

We all hit it off from the very first day
And can hardly wait for the next trip to play

Sweet wishes Miss Kim for a day that was fun
My poem's now over and off I will run

To craft my next card, the deadline is near
Ooops, I've missed it - oh dang it, oh dear!!!

Hope you had a swell day pal!

  2. A perfect birthday card for our Miss Kim! LOVE all the inlaid dies...that must have taken forever, but so worth it!! Great colors; you know the birthday girl loves pink! And your poem. You, Miss Geri, are the poet laureate of the entire card making blogosphere! I had a blast reading it, and it brought back so many good memories! Hmmmm.....I seem to recall someone dancing in a store at the MOA...and hmmmm...it just so happened to get captured on video...! What a sweet friend you are, not only for doing this for Kim, but for all of us out here. I can just hear your voice reading this poem too. Bet Kim grins while reading this, and I know for sure she'll love your card. Have a happy weekend. Bev

I love each and everyone of those fabulous little pink inlaid flowers (even your sentiment is inland!), they are lined up so perfectly! Thank you so much for making my special day that much more special. I am so blessed to be able to call you a dear sweet friend.
