12 DAYS OF HOLIDAY PROJECTS - DAY 8

Gift cards are the #1 request on most of the Christmas lists this year! Yes, they are easy and convenient, but I usually include a small gift so that the recipient has something to open! It just wouldn't seem like Christmas without tons of wrapping paper scattered about!

I honestly cannot provide you with many details, because I used scraps of paper for this entire project. The only thing I do know is that the snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch and the ribbon is SU.

Check out the rest of my crafty friends and see what day 8 reveals! Don't forget to leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate (draw date December 22nd).

  1. These colours are gorgeous, Geri ... I love the softness of the light pink, aqua and lavender against the wonderfully vibrant hot pink! The touch of glamour with the glitter bands, ribbon and the bling in the snowflake are soooo perfect ... yum! Anita :)

  3. Beautiful gift card holder, Geri! And I agree: wrapping paper strewn about Christmas morning is a "must" - as is a breakfast of cinnamon buns, which I rarely eat otherwise!! We've cut back with gifts for the adults, but for Ms. T and Mr. C - nope! It's my duty to spoil them, and then spoil some more (even if that means wrapping a package of 64 crayons individually!!). Happy Sunday!

  4. This is so awesome! And bonus getting to use up some scraps - don't you love when you get to do that...and get SUCH amazing results?!! Really, this is one of the coolest gift card holders I've seen! It's a little gift in itself! It's true what you say - it's always nice to have a little gift to open as well. My nieces and nephew are teenagers (well, one isn't, but she might as well be!) and cold hard cash is on the top of their lists! So I just put the money in a box, and wrap that! Easy for me, and they love it! Big hugs to you xo
