The previous card was actually the ''copy-cat" as this card was completed first but couldn't be published until the this challenge went live!
My card was quick and easy peasy! A few strips cut from colors inspired by the flowers on the cake, some scored lines for definition and a Silhouette sentiment. I popped up the design panel using 3D foam dots.
And YAY...we had another huge turnout for the last challenge...it is SOOO exciting! I've met so many nice people in my travels through blog land and look forward to stopping by for another visit! Thank you all so much for embracing our challenge so enthusiastically!
Here's the link to the next CCC challenge. Hope to see you there :)
I'm also linking my card up to this week's challenge at Seize the Birthday challenge which offers an option of adding stitching to your card. There are tons of cards in the gallery...why not join in the fun?
Happy crafting!
So bright and happy! Love!
ReplyDeletewhat a great graphic design with the woven strips of colored card stock!
ReplyDeleteI thought I'd seen it before! Love it in these colours - fresh and springy (still waiting for spring here in Toronto!) The little details of the weave and the scored lines give this a real WOW factor!
ReplyDeleteOkay, if I tried to cut those sweet, dainty strips, there is NO WAY they would turn out looking like that. Crooked, uneven, warped, yup - that's what mine would look like!! But YOURS, total perfection!! Add to that the scoring, the weave...I am in awe again!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool and hip card this is, Geri!! Precise and impeccable!! I love it! Course I love every card you make!! You are great inspiration for the CCC!!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeletePerfectly cut and attached strips, woven even. So graphic and lovely.
ReplyDeleteWow, love that you used this design again! the colours pop off the white! SO cool!
ReplyDeleteI love how you designed this card, Geri! Such a fabulous clean and graphic card and great colors!
ReplyDeleteHi, Geri. I got to know about your blog with Anita's birthday party and I liked your card for her so much that I had a little tour of your blog. I so liked what I saw that I have decided to start following you by e-mail. So I'll be a regular visitor now!
ReplyDeleteYour card is absolutely stunning - the bright colours is beautiful and I love the scorelines you've added - it's all done so neatly!! This is really a great design - LOVE it!!!
Greetings from Africa and have a lovely day!!!
Oh dear me...I'm behind again...So sorry. I did recognize the design right away, and love it in these colors. It's such a great design; why mess with its delicious perfection?! It would work well at Christmas, Easter, Halloween...well, you get the idea! Such a great card, and I do hope to play along! Will get to an email soon. Bev
ReplyDeleteLoving all those colorful stripes...very graphic and perfect for your Clean and Graphic style. I love how you have woven them where they intersect.
ReplyDeletePlaying catch up, Geri ... sorry for the delay! You know I completely love this ... the crisp clean lines, the precise embossing, the touch of texture, the stunning colour combo ... and the cool, cool weaving ... I love how you did that! Awesome graphicicity (I made that word up!)! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteJoining the crowd playing catch-up (I'm just the slow-pokiest, slow poke of late!)...apologies! The first version of this card was amazing, and this second version is equally as fabulous! The strips of coloured paper (I'm in awe of your straight-ness!), nestled in the score lines are so eye-catching, as is the angled sentiment. I'll echo Anita's assessment and new vocab for today: awesome graphicicity! Aiming to get a note sent soon...Spring Break begins today! Yayyyyy....Hugs~c
