hello you!

Scroll down for a couple of sweet pics of our grand dog Ruuk and our snow banks!

I love the look of a Polaroid frame on a card! I happened to notice this file in the Silhouette store (on sale for only $.55) so into my cart it went and here it is! The speech bubble and "you" were also snagged during the sale for the same low price!

Easy peasy...inlaid letters in the speech bubble, three layers worth of "you", some dimensional foam pop dots....done!

I hope that the "real life "vibrancy of the lime green is what you will see on your monitors and not the pea soup color that showed up during the editing process!

Next up is Ruuk...our grand dog. He looks quite wolfish, but has the personality of a wee kitten and loves coming for visits!  Do you  think it might have something to do with treats?

And then there's the snow that is still in our backyard! It is the coldest recorded winter in Manitoba history! Oh, yay....not the kind of record we want to break!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting :)

  1. Oh my goodness, Geri! So much to cheer about in this post, and one 'boo-hiss to the snowbanks. Enough with the winter weather for you; time for the snow to melt (slowly...no water damage) so you can tend your garden. Now, on to the cheering: your card is eye-catching, vibrant fun! I see black + white + lime green perfection! Polaroid frame, speech bubble, Hello You - perfect combination for a friendly, day-brightening, smile-making message. LOVE it! We're still on our little road trip, with the occasional snowfall and rain interrupted with brief bouts of sunshine. Not as warm as we'd hoped, but that's okay...warm enough for Andy to get some rides in and for me to play with my skimpy little mobile crafting unit. Comments and posts I can do; email is sketchy. I'll be in touch when we're back. Hope you have another trip out west booked for 'soon'!! And your grand-dog: ADORABLE!! He could come along with you....Hugs~c

  2. Sweet, sweet looking dog! And I love the snow too, so fun and easy for me to say when snow is something we only see every 100 years or so where I live. I do love your card, the colors and your fabulous design too. Gotta love your Silhouette, so fun when there are so many wonderful files to choose from and the sales are amazing too! Love your amazing card!

  8. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card, Geri! Green is my fave color and looks great with brown/black. :) Your dog is beautiful! You do still have lots of snow. Ours is finally melting. Yesterday was beautiful here, lots of sun and warmth. Dripping eaves and mud, sure signs of spring. :) Today looks like it is going to be a repeat. Enjoy your day!

  10. Fun card, Geri, so striking! Now I don't want to upset you, but the daffs are out, the cherry blossom is out, the magnolias are out and the forest flame is, well, flaming! Your grand-dog is gorgeous :)

  11. Your card ROCKS, Ger!! Love the black base with the bright white and lime green! Yum. LOVE Ruuk!! Even he has a bright green leash! About the snow. Yeah. Sucks. You might want to avoid my blog in the next few days as I post sickening spring flower photos. Sorry. Spring will come, I promise. It might not be until 2015, but it WILL come! Hugs, Darnell

  13. Hi, Geri!! You probably wondered why you haven't heard anything from me for a while, but I have been busy knitting and crocheting every single spare minute of the last two weeks!!! I am way behind on e-mails and blogvisits and I've got a lot of catching up to do!! We also had family from Cape Town visiting and the kids had their autumn break from school, so I've been super busy!! But here I am to enjoy all the lovely work I've been missing out for two weeks!!
Your card is stunning!!! I love the bright green with the B&W - so striking!! Really great!!
As for Ruuk - he is beautiful, I love him!!! And for the snow .... how my kids would love it if our backyard looked like that!! But they would probably love it for a few days only and then would get frustrated with it!!! In SA we get snow only on the highest mountaintops and very rarely lower down. Hope your warmer days will start soon - over here we can tell already that winter is coming!
    Have a lovely day!!

Ruuk is the sweetest wolf-kitten I've ever seen. He's adorable!
P.S. Our snow is just starting to melt. Winter, how I loathe thee!!!
