Yes...you've arrived at the correct post. And yes, the card on the CCC blog is NOT the same as this one!
Why? Because the other card is one of those "what was I thinking" cards!
For those of you who don't me well...I'm a hopeless procrastinator. 99% of the time I'm crafting until the wee hours of the morning trying to come up with a decent card. That is why the other card (Blech!) made it to the current challenge post.
So I sat down at my craft desk this afternoon and came up with this lovely, clean & graphic card in a matter of minutes! A fabulous Clearly Besotted silver embossed sentiment (shiny in real life), some new Freckled Fawn enamel dots, a pierced border...done!
Ahhh....now this feels right!
How will you be inspired by this photo?
Do you want to hear a good one? I originally thought the images were flowers! DH pointed out that they are cupcakes....which 'splains the fork! Please don't tell his guy friends though!
We would love to have you share your interpretation with us. Pop on over to the CCC blog to see what the other DT members have created. Then craft away and share!
Happy crafting!
Yep, we do need their opinions (sometimes ;)
ReplyDeleteThis card really shows that less is more... love your interpretation of the graphic!
{ and now I'm off to check out the other card }
Erm, I thought they were flowers too! You've got to hand it to your DH for knowing a flower cupcake when he sees one - my DH would never have guessed. Bit like me...
ReplyDeleteI thought your other card was lovely, but I can see why you like this one better.
Well now I have to head over to see the other one, but you rocked this one, my friend! Minimal and graphic - perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat other one is perfectly fine, too! You're a little crazy. (I say that with love! lol!) But I do like this one - minimal style makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful CAS card! I thought they were flowers too!
ReplyDeleteSo funny! I was wondering what was going on! Well I like them BOTH!!!
ReplyDeleteOops - I thought they were flowers, too. The fork makes MUCH more sense now!!! Love your dots with the piercing - perfect pairing.
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO....seriously you crack me up! I too think both cards are fabulous but if I had to choose a favorite it would be this one. I love the clean look you created. Now on to those flower/cupcakes...I was quite sure they were flowers too and had no clue what the deal was with that silly fork. But thanks to you sweet and dear hubby to set all of us crafty ladies straight!
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up too, Geri! LOVE this! I too thought at first glance they were flowers and then noticed the fork and assumed they were cupcakes. haha
ReplyDeleteYour other card was still awesome Geri, but I know what you mean when you aren't happy with a card. I always procrastinate too. I wish I didn't, but I do and then I am scrambling at the last minute to make something for one of my design teams. lol I love the new card too, both cards are fabulous CAS designs. Like you, the cupcakes look like flowers, I didn't even realize there was a fork there. lol I guess your hubby is more clever than we are! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWe're in good company, Geri ... I thought they were flowers too ... p'raps Danny was hungry!! Had to go check out the first card ... not 'blech' ... but rather fun and playful! Have to admit though, this one steals my heart ... minimalist, clever (enamel dots mimicking the pierced edges) and so supremely CAS! So 'you' too, my friend and fellow procrastinator ... smiling at the memories! Hugs & Bisous, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteSimplicity at it's best. I must say I like your first card too! Flowers and tulle get me every time:)
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I'd seen this post before I fingered out they were cupcakes, Geri. That finally occurred to me yesterday after days of wondering. For the life of me, I could not understand the stupid fork, haha! That Danny is one smart hunkahunka!! And BOTH your cards are outstanding in my eyes!! Hugs, Darnell
